We know that deciding which career path to take is an important and challenging decision, but it can also be a thrilling one!

As part of our Early Careers Schemes, you’ll have the chance to get stuck in across our engineering teams, take part in real projects and learn new skills; all while being paid for your time.

Degree Apprenticeship Scheme

At Amiosec, our five-year Degree Apprenticeship Scheme offers a great alternative to a full-time university course, allowing you to study part-time for a BEng (Hons) Electronic and Computer Engineering Degree whilst working towards becoming a Software Engineer. You’ll study at Gloucester College for the first 3 years, then UWE in Bristol for years 4 and 5 – all whilst working and gaining experience with Amiosec.

Our twelve-month Graduate Scheme provides structure and support, offers tailored opportunities and training to upskill you, and allows you to build upon the skills you already have. As a graduate at Amiosec, you’ll rotate through different projects putting new skills into practice and adding real value to the business.

Graduate Electronic Engineer

Put your skills to use amidst our electronics team, supporting Amiosec to deliver flawless hardware designs, circuitry and solutions.

Graduate Software Engineer

Delve into the realms of our software team, supporting Amiosec to design and develop user-friendly applications, embedded systems and ground-breaking capabilities.

ENGINEERING AT AMIOSEC

Where would you fit in?

Our multi-disciplined teams work across many areas of engineering with everyone playing a unique role in keeping people connected and data protected.

Our Embedded Developers enjoy programming low-power embedded devices in systems languages like C and Rust.

Software Developers in our Secure Mobility team develop code for mobile devices, such as Android, iOS, and back-end services in Go.

The Virtual Appliances team is made up of full-stack developers who help to build the infrastructure needed for fleet management.

Research and Development like to push boundaries and innovate. They come up with ideas that can be turned into future products.

Our Automated Testing team are responsible for our product quality, ultimately, ensuring our products live up to customer expectation.

Our DevOps Engineers work to standardise our build environments to ensure that our products are compliant with requirements.

What you'll need

APPRENTICE REQUIREMENTS

5 GCSEs: Grade 9 – 4 or A* - C, including maths and english as well as STEM subjects.

A Levels: Grade C or above in both a mathematical based subject and a science, technology or additional mathematics related subject, or 90+ credits in an Engineering BTEC.
(Equivalent to 112 UCAS points)

GRADUATE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2:1 degree in a relevant subject such as Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.

Due to the nature of our work candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
