NCSC Cyber Schools Hub Industry Award Ceremony

NCSC Cyber Schools Hub Industry Award Ceremony at Hub8 in Cheltenham

Date

28th February, 2020

Location

Cheltenham

Description

Students from Wyedean, Ribston and Cleeve School opened the award ceremony by reflecting on the positive impact that the Cyber Schools project has had on them and how it has made them consider a career in cyber security. Industry representatives also reflected on the impact of the project, including a a presentation by Amiosec citing all the work that has been done for the project over the last year and how the project not only inspires students to think about a career in STEM, but also has a positive impact within industry by allowing employees to learn new skills.

The ceremony ended with awards where Lauren Baddeley of Amiosec was nominated for Individual Contribution and Amiosec was awarded Associate Status for our support. As we had joined the project late in the year, we were hoping to achieve Supporter status but we excelled, skipping a level and going straight to Associate.

We are really excited for the future of the Cyber Schools Hub and look forward to inspiring lots more students!
